As part of the school-wide SLICE OF PIE initiative from the WMS Technology Team, in which each department tackles a different Google App (GAFE), this lesson will encourage students to utilize the multi-media functions of Google Slides.
Our 8th graders are off and running. Their challenge: to identify an artist whose style relates to their own. First step: defining "artistic style."

The floors are clean, the shelves are cleared, the supplies are neatly labeled... I give it a week! The new year is always ripe with the promise of creativity-to-come. So much potential and untapped imagination just waiting to be unleashed!
The first few days are a little wonky, in terms of scheduling, but we'll be back in the swing of things in no time.
Over the summer, Mr. Curran ordered some new books that may enhance your art experience. Most books in the collection are available to borrow, so feel free to browse the shelves next time your in the room.
